"Stirring Up the Past" Cookbook is presented by the Butts County Historical Society and the

Key Ingredients Committee on the occasion of the traveling Smithsonian Exhibit, Key Ingredients:

America by Food. It is a collection of historical recipes that have been handed down from one

generation to the next. Some old recipes were donated from the Cornell and Elder Families.

Many of the recipes came from the elegant Elder Hotel (1879 - 1984) in Indian Springs.

The cookbooks are available for purchase at the Indian Spring Hotel/Museum Gift Shop for

$10.00 or at the Butts County Visitors Center located in the Butts County Administration Building

in Jackson, GA.
